Educational Assessments

Petersen Academic Group provides the following assessments:
The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children IV Integrated and WPPSI-III give children a full scale IQ as well as Verbal and Performance IQ's. The Verbal Scale is dependent on the child's accumulated experience, whereas the Performance scale is more dependent on the child's immediate problem-solving ability. Both involve verbal and nonverbal strategies in the solution of problems.
The WIAT-II, Achievement Tests are achievement test batteries for grades K-12 that provide a comprehensive assessment of student progress in the basic skills and ranks the student by percentile and grade equivalent scores. Informal and criterion referenced tests in basic reading, advanced reading, basic math, and advanced math, as well as in study skills, are administered as a supplement to detail specific skill mastery.
The SSAT is an aptitude test that measures student abilities in three critical areas: verbal, quantitative, and reading comprehension. The test also evaluates the student's critical thinking and problem solving skills. The format of the test is multiple choice. This test is comparable to the SAT, in that a student is penalized for an incorrect answer in order to discourage guessing. The results are mailed directly to the school, the student's home address and to PAG, which allows us to prepare for counseling with the student's parents. For more information on the SSAT, please refer to the SSAT Student's Guide.
The Learning Style Inventory helps students identify their ways of absorbing and dealing with new information. Learners gain new insight into their strengths and weaknesses in accomplishing tasks, in solving problems, in relating to and managing others, and into natural preferences that lead to career choices.
